'love is the message': on Sharon Hayes' 'Ricerche'
'love is the message',
my response to Sharon Hayes 'Ricerche', which was exhibited at the
former Adelphi Terrace Public School in Glasgow last autumn, is
published online at The Common Guild.
The
text dives into the dialogues around gender, sex, queer reproduction,
and collectivity which emerge across Hayes' films, in which she
interviews members from women's football teams in Fort Worth, Texas,
USA, children of queer parents, & students at a women's collage in
the US.
There's a recording of the text online too.
