'after Tarek Lakhrissi’s My Immortal’

back in the heat of late August, i found myself on a road trip across Wales, composing a response to the then-current exhibition 'My Immortal' by visual artist and poet Tarek Lakhrissi at MOSTYN gallery, Llandudno, North Wales. my text, a series of brief poems shifting, weaving texts into collage, explores my own relationship to Wales (one of my homelands) through a brown queer erotics rooted in nature.

Commissioned by MOSTYN, my text is online at their website here, with a translation into Welsh here - thanks to Juliette Désorgues at MOSTYN, and Holly Williams for the translation into Welsh.

For more on Tarek's 'My Immortal', see the gallery site, alongside this review of the show by Theo Gordon.
